Every human counts as a Grand Soul, so buying a couple of Black Soul Gems and raiding a bandit camp should result in a couple of Black(Grand) Souls.
You can buy them from Enthir at the Mage College in Winderhold. I would recommend using Black Soul Gems instead. Has anyone else found any other creatures that have them? Justin Kriegel ( talk) 20:35, Novem(UTC) I've been trying to go around finding creatures that provide grand souls in Skyrim, but so far the only things I've noticed to give them are Mammoths. Mbjones90 ( talk) 02:49, Ma(UTC) Grand Souls in Skyrim? The creature's health will go back up when the spell wears off, but not if it kills them first. Add about ten seconds to the spell, then make a different spell with Drain Health give it a high damage but a low duration (ie, Drain 100pts 3sec). Please sign your posts with ~~~~! Make your own. Where can i get a good soul trap spell? and a long duration if possible? -This unsigned comment is by CeramicSolid ( talk This works in much in the same was as when you, for example, cast a shield spell on your self continually the duration of the effect "resets." This applies to all spells and enchantments except constant effect enchantments which stack and apply only to armor, clothing and jewelry. If you enchant a weapon with Soul Trap, does it "cast" Soul Trap every time it hits, or does the game recognize if Soul Trap has been cast on a creature? -M Yes the soul trap enchantment/ spell will "re-cast" upon your target every time and a charge will be wasted with each hit. theSpectator talk 21:54, 30 September 2006 (CDT) Yes, a one-second Soul Trap enchantment is usually enough, though two-seconds are sometimes recommended to ensure that the creature is Soul Trapped. Or, you can check out our list of the best RPG games on our home platform if you’re in the market for something else to try.If you enchant a weapon with Soul Trap, does the duration of the effect matter? As long as the killing blow comes from the charged weapon, the soul should be trapped anyway, right? ~ Nilles ( chat) 18:17, 30 September 2006 (CDT)
If you’re keen to find out more, head to Nexus Mods here. You can also see the list of NPCs you’ve banished to the afterlife, and there are well over a thousand new lines of dialogue featured.
The mod includes some customisation features, so you can set a limit on how many NPCs get banished to these afterlives (up to 256), and decide whether you want only unique characters to end up there or any and all folks you fell. With the mod, you’ll see souls you’ve trapped appear here, and they’ll interact with their surroundings. Appearing in Skyrim’s Dawnguard expansion, this is actually a spooky wasteland plane of Oblivion that’s haunted by the souls of those unlucky enough to end up in a black soul gem, and some undead, as well.
Once that point is passed, they’ll roam free in the plane, with some even making it into the Hall of Valour.Īs for others, any NPCs who get trapped into a soul gem will find themselves banished to a whole other, far less pleasant, afterlife – the Soul Cairn. So, if they’ve shown bravery in combat.Īgain, no spoilers, but prior to a certain climactic event in the game’s story, you’ll find the souls of Nord NPCs who’ve fallen in battle huddled together in Sovngarde’s mist, trying to avoid a second doom.
True to Skyrim lore, powerofthree’s Afterlife mod will send the souls of fallen Nord warriors to this plane – a glorious mead hall full of feasting and jostling over contests to prove physical prowess – but only if they prove their mettle in life. Sovngarde is a Nordic afterlife that features in the fantasy game’s main storyline (don’t worry, no spoilers here in case you’re waiting for that upcoming Anniversary Edition to finally give it a whirl). Aptly called Afterlife – Resurrected, the reworked mod adds a neat feature that means falling in battle or ending up in a soul gem need not be the end – the souls of NPCs can instead end up in either Sovngarde or the Soul Cairn once you’ve dispatched their earthly selves. A popular Skyrim mod that’s been unavailable for a while due to needing a “full rework” is back, and ready to banish Tamriel’s fallen folks to the afterlife.
